My Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy involves an initial intake session, time to create a treatment plan to guide our work together, and subsequent sessions for the therapy.  Sometimes it is helpful to involve a family member or close friend in individual therapy to help inform the treatment or to get additional supports in place. I draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in my therapy work.  I am currently under-going an intensive training to provide EMDR (a therapy to help people process through trauma and old patterns) .

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy involves an initial intake session with the couple, time to create a treatment plan to guide our work together, and subsequent sessions for the therapy.  Sometimes it is helpful to also have separate individual sessions with each partner to allow for more in-depth and personalized support.  This will be discussed and determined after our initial appt.  I draw on the teachings of John Gottman, Sue Johnson (EFT), CBT, and MI in my work with couples.

Support Group

Currently, the support group I facilitate is for new mothers who are struggling after having a baby.  This group is free of charge to any new mother who delivered at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. The WD hospital foundation funds this group.  It is based on a Group Peer Support model, which you can learn more about here.  The group is an 8-week group focused on topics related to parenting a newborn and the transition to parenthood.  Each group includes a mindfulness practice, discussion about the weekly topic, and time to share thoughts about your personal journey.  This is a trauma-informed group that encourages creating a safe place for all people to share and grow.  If you are interested in joining this group, please email me here.
